
Ingredients
For masala:
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp fenugreek seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
½ cup Fresh coconut slices
5-6 dry red chilies
2 tsp tamarind paste
Other Ingredients –
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 dry red chilies
10-12 curry leaves
½ cup onion chopped fine
2 tsp garlic chopped
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¾ cup tomatoes chopped
200gms large prawns
Water as required
Process
- Heat oil in a pan, one by one add all the ingredients for the masala and cook till they become fragrant. Remove from the flame and grind into a paste.
- Once again heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies.
- Then add chopped onion, garlic and sauté, add turmeric powder and tomatoes chopped.
- Let them cook on a medium flame until the tomatoes are soft and start to break. At this stage add the prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
