Ingredients
For Frying Yam
500 gm Yam (suran) , जमाई कंद
Emami Healthy and Tasty Mustard Oil for frying , तलने के लिए इमामी हेल्दी एंड टेस्टी मस्टर्ड ऑयल
For Tempering
2 tbsp Emami Healthy and Tasty Mustard Oil , इमामी हेल्दी एंड टेस्टी मस्टर्ड ऑयल
5-6 Black pepper cons , काली मिर्च के दाने
2 Green cardamom , हरी इलायची
1-2 Cloves , लौंग
1 tsp Cumin seeds , जीरा
2 fresh Green chillies, chopped , हरी मिर्च
1 inch Ginger, chopped , अदरक
½ tsp Turmeric powder , हल्दी पाउडर
1 tsp Degi red chilli powder , देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
1 tsp Coriander powder , धनिया पाउडर
¼ tsp Asafoetida , हींग
1 cup Curd , दही
Fried Yam , तला हुआ जमाई कंद
Salt to taste , नमक स्वादानुसार
Water , पानी
½ cup frozen / fresh Green peas , हरे मटर
2 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped , धनिया पता
½ Lemon juice , नींबू को रेस
Process
For Frying yam
- Heat mustard oil in a kadai, add yam cubes and fry on medium flame.
- Remove in an absorbent paper and keep it aside. For further use.
- Remove the excess oil.
For Tempering
- In the same kadai, heat mustard oil, add black pepper cons, green cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds let it splutter.
- Add ginger, green chilli and saute it.
- Add turmeric powder, degi red chilli powder, coriander powder, asafoetida and curd mix it well.
- Add fried yam, salt to taste, water and mix everything well.
- Cover it with the lid and cook for 5-10 minutes.
- Add green peas, coriander leaves and lemon juice mix it well.
- Garnish it with coriander sprig and serve hot.
