
Ingredients
For Nachos
1 cup Maize flour/मक्के का आट्टा
½ cup Refined flour/मैदा
Salt to taste/नमक स्वाद अनुसार
¼ tsp Carom seeds, crushed (optional)/ अजवाइन
1 tsp Oil/तेल
Oil, for deep-frying/तेल
For The Jain Salsa
2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped/टमाटर
2 tbsp Green capsicum, finely chopped/हरी शिमला मिर्च
1 Green chilli, finely chopped/हरी मिर्च
2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped/धनिया
¼ tsp dried Oregano/ड्राइड ओरेगनों
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper/काली मिर्च
¼ tsp roasted cumin seeds, crushed/भुना हुआ ज़ीरा
Salt to taste/नमक स्वाद अनुसार
1 tbsp Jain Tomato ketchup/केचप
½ no lime juice/निम्बू का रस
Process
- To prepare the nachos, add maize flour, refined flour, salt, carom seeds to it and mix well.
- Add oil and form a crumb like mixture by mixing in with fingers.
- Add chilled water as required and knead the dough. Cover the dough and rest it for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the tomato salsa. Add tomatoes, green capsicum, green chilli, cumin seeds, oregano, fresh coriander leaves, salt, crushed pepper, crushed cumin seeds, jain tomato ketchup, lime juice in a bowl and mix well. Refrigerate till in use.
- Dust flour on work surface and roll the prepared dough into a thin round or rectangular shape.
- Take a knife and cut diagonally into diamond shape.
- Prick the prepared nachos with a fork and fry in hot oil till golden brown and crisp. /सुनेहरा होने तक पकाये
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with the prepared Jain Salsa Dip.
