Drumstick Fish Curry Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

For Marination

4-5 Pomfret, darne (any type of flatfish) पापलेट

½ tsp Turmeric Powder, हल्दी पाउडर

Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

2 tbsp Coconut Oil, नारियल तेल

 

For Masala

2 tbsp Oil, तेल

Hand Full of  Curry Leaves, कढ़ी पत्ता

½ cup Madras Onion, sliced, मद्रास अनियन

½ tsp Turmeric Powder, हल्दी पाउडर

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder, लाल मिर्च पाउडर

1 tsp Coriander Powder, धनिया पाउडर

2 no Drumstick, cut into 1 inch pieces, ड्रमस्ट‍िक

½ cup Water, पानी

Salt to Taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

¾ cup Thick Coconut Milk, नारियल का दूध

1 tsp Tamarind Paste, इमली का गूदा

½ tbsp Jaggery, chopped,   गुड़

 

Process

  • Take fish fillets and apply salt and turmeric and marinate well. Keep for 10 minutes.
  • Now, heat oil in the pan and cook the fish from both sides, 3 mins on each side. Remove the fish from the pan and keep aside for later use.
  • In the same pan, Add curry leaves, sliced onions and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Now, add in all the spices and mix well. Add drumstick, water and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
  • Add in coconut milk. Season with salt. Add tamarind paste, jaggery and mix well.
  • Transfer fish and cook for 2 minutes more. Turn off the flame.
  • Garnish with coriander. Serve hot with rice
