Walnut & Dates Halwa सिर्फ 3 चीजों से अखरोट & खजूर का हलवा Dry Fruits Halwa
I've received a lot of requests for a healthy and easy Dry Fruits halwa. So what better than a Walnuts and Dates (अखरोट & खजूर) Halwa for you all :)
Ingredients
For Boiling Walnut
Water as required, पानी
250 gms Walnuts, अखरोट
For Walnut & Dates Halwa
1 cup Ghee, घी
500 gms Dates, soaked, खजूर
Boiled walnut, अखरोट
¼ cup Ghee, घी
½ cup Orange juice, संतरे का रस
A pinch of salt, नमक स्वादअनुसार
For Garnish
2 no. Dates, sliced, खजूर
4-5 no. Pistachious (blanched & slivers) पिसता
A pinch of cardamom powder, इलायची पाउडर
Walnut, अखरोट
Silver vark, चांदी का वर्ख
Process
For Boiling Walnut
- In a pan, add water as required and boil it to a roaring boil.
- Add walnuts and cook them for 4-5 minutes until it’s half cooked.
- Strain the walnuts and keep it aside for further use.
For Walnut & Dates Halwa
- In a lagan or non-stick kadai, add ghee, once it’s hot, add dates and cook them for 10-12 minutes until mushy.
- Add boiled walnut, ghee, orange juice, a pinch of salt and cook it for a while until ghee separates from the halwa.
- Transfer it to a serving bowl, garnish it with dates, pistachios, sprinkle some cardamom powder, walnut and silver vark.
