
Mexican Chicken Burrito रेस्टोरेंट जैसा चिकन रोल मैक्सिकन बरीटो chicken roll
Continuing our Wraps & Rolls series, try my recipe for a spicy Chicken Burrito Wrap.
Ingredients
For Chicken gravy
2 tbsp Oil (तेल)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)
2 fresh Green Chillies – chopped (हरी मिर्च)
1 medium Onion – chopped (प्याज़)
1 tsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)
½ tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
1 tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
1 cup Curd (दही)
Marinated Chicken (मैरिनेटेड चिकन)
Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
Water (पानी)
¼ cup Kidney Beans – boiled (राजमा)
2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (धनिया के पत्ते)
For Marinating Chicken
500 gm Chicken Breast – small cubes (चिकन)
Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste (अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट)
For Roti
½ cup Wheat & Refined Flour Dough (गेहूं और मैदे का गुंदा आटा)
For Salad
1 medium Onion – chopped (प्याज़)
1 medium Tomato – chopped (टमाटर)
2-3 fresh Green Chillies – chopped (हरी मिर्च)
Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
½ medium Lemon Juice (नींबू का रस)
2 tbsp Coriander Leaves – chopped (धनिया पत्ता)
For Rice
1 cup cooked Rice (पका हुआ चावल)
2-3 tbsp Butter – melted (मक्खन)
½ tsp roasted Cumin Powder (भुना जीरा पाउडर)
Other Ingredients
1 tbsp Mayonnaise (optional) (मेयोनीज)
2-3 tbsp Grated Cheese (चीज़)
Process
For Marinating Chicken
- In a bowl add chicken, salt, ginger-garlic paste, mix everything properly and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
For Chicken gravy
- In a kadai heat oil and add cumin seeds let them crackle then add green chillies, onion and sauté until light golden.
- Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, degi red chilli powder and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the curd mix properly and sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
- Now add the marinated chicken, mix it once properly and then add salt, water, kidney beans.
- Then cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until chicken cooked properly.
- Remove the lid and finish it with coriander leaves and switch off the flames. Keep aside for further use.
For Roti
- Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a thin roti.
- Now half cook the roti on a flat pan and keep aside for further use.
For Salad
- In a bowl add chopped, onion, tomato, green chillies, salt, coriander leaves, lemon juice and mix everything properly.
- Keep aside for further use.
For Rice
- In a bowl add cooked rice, roasted cumin powder, melted butter and mix everything properly, keep aside for further use.
For Assembling Chicken Burrito Roll
- Firstly roast the half cooked roti properly from both sides.
- Then place it on a plate and spread some mayonnaise on the lower part of the roti (which is near you).
- Now add some rice on the same spot then some chicken with its gravy, some salad, grated cheese.
- To roll it properly fold the both sides in and then roll it tightly from the side near to you to the side completely across.
- It’s ready to be served with some mayonnaise or chutney and nachos.
