Ingredients
For Tohu
2 cups Gram flour, बेसन
½ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर
½ tsp Degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
A pinch of asafoetida, हींग
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
½ cup Water, पानी
2 heaped tbsp Curd, beaten, दही
For Burmese Aloo Curry
2-3 tbsp Oil, तेल
1 no. Bay leaf, तेज़ पत्ता
1 inch Cinnamon stick, दालचीनी
4-5 no. Button chilli, बटन मिर्च
2 large Onion, sliced, प्याज
5 medium Potatoes (peeled & diced) आलू
1 ½ tbsp Ginger Garlic paste, अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट
1 ½ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर
1 tsp Degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
½ tsp Coriander powder, धनिया पाउडर
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
2-3 cups Water, पानी
Prepared tohu, medium cubed, तैयार किया हुआ तोहू
2-3 tbsp Coriander leaves, finely chopped, धनिया पत्ता
3-4 no. Green chillies (less spicy & chopped) हरी मिर्च

Process
For Tohu
- In a bowl, add gram flour, turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, a pinch of asafoetida, salt to taste, water, curd and give it a good mix.
- Pour the mixture in a greased steaming mold and place it into a steamer.
- Let it cook for 12-15 minutes on medium flames until cooked well.
- Remove the mold and let it aside to cool down the temperature.
- Demold the tohu and cut into desired shape.
- Keep it aside for further use.
For Burmese Aloo Curry
- In a handi, add oil, once it’s hot, add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, button chillies, onion, potatoes and saute it for a while.
- Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and cook for a minute.
- Add water, prepare tohu and simmer it for 5-6 minutes on medium flames.
- Finish it with coriander leaves, green chillies and mix it well.
- Transfer it to a serving dish and garnish it with coriander sprig.
- Serve hot with roti.
