
Ingredients
Water (पानी)
Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
1 inch Ginger (अदरक)
1 fresh Green Chilli (हरी मिर्च)
1 cup Moong Dal – soaked (मूंग दाल)
1 Bay Leaf (तेज पत्ता)
For Topping
1 medium Onion – chopped (प्याज़)
2-3 fresh Green Chillies – chopped (हरी मिर्च)
Lemon wedges (नींबू)
1 tsp roasted Cumin Powder (भुना जीरा पाउडर)
For Tempering
1 heaped tbsp Ghee (घी)
3 Dry Red Chillies (सूखी लाल मिर्च)
Process
- In a kadai add water, salt, ginger, green chillies, moong dal, bay leaf mix everything together and let it boil for 20-25 minutes on medium heat until fully cooked.
- Now keep all the toppings ready by chopping and keeping all together.
- Pour the cooked dal in a bowl and all the toppings one by one.
- Then in a tempering pan heat ghee and add dry red chillies and let it change its colour. Remove and add this on the dal and serve warm.
