Maha Shivratri spl Anarsa अनारसे की आसान रेसिपी perfect Anarasa at home
A traditional dish popular during most festivals, especially Diwali, Anarsa is pretty easy to make.

Ingredients
For Washing & Soaking Rice
2 cups Any Short grain rice (soaked 3-4 hours) चावल
Water, पानी
For Anarsa
2 cups Powdered Short grain rice, पीसा हुआ चावल
½ cup Jaggery, grated, गुड़
¼ cup Milk powder, मिल्क पाउडर
1-2 tsp Water, पानी
For Coating
2 tbsp White sesame seeds, सफेद तिल
2 tbsp Poppy seeds, खस खस
Other Ingredients
Oil for frying, तेल तलने के लिए
Process
For Washing & Soaking Rice
- In a bowl, add short grain rice, water and wash it well.
- Add water and keep it aside to soak for 3-4 hours.
- Strain the rice and let it dry overnight.
- Keep it aside for further use.
For Anarsa
- In a mixer grinder jar, add dried short grain rice and grind it smoothly.
- Strain the powder and transfer it to a bowl.
- Add jaggery, milk powder and crumble it well.
- Add water and make it a soft dough.
- Keep it aside to ferment for 5-6 hours.
- Divide the dough into medium lemon size balls.
- Give it a desired shape, coat it well in sesame seeds and poppy seeds mixture.
- Drop the balls in the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Transfer it to a serving platter and Serve hot.
