Give traditional Modak a delicious twist with Mawa Modak and Orange Mawa Modak, filled with gulkhand, nuts, chocolate and pistachios. Perfect for Ganesh Chaturthi!

Ingredients
For Mawa Modak
- ½ cup Rice flour
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- ½ cup Water
- ½ can Nestlé MILKMAID
- 2 tsp Ghee (for finishing)
- A pinch of Cardamom powder
For Gulkhand & Nuts Stuffing
- 2 tbsp Gulkhand
- 4-5 no. Almonds, chopped
- 4-5 no. Cashew Nuts, chopped
For Garnish
- fresh Rose petals
- Saffron water
- Desiccated coconut
For Orange Mawa Modak
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- ¼ cup Orange crush
- ½ cup Rice flour
- ½ cup Water
- ½ can Nestlé MILKMAID
- 1 tsp Orange zest
For Chocolate & Pista Stuffing
- 2-3 tbsp White chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp Pistachios, chopped
For Garnish
- Mint sprig
- Cashew Nuts, chopped
- Desiccated coconut
- Orange zest
Process
For Mawa Modak
- In a bowl, add rice flour, ghee, water and mix it well.
- In a nonstick pan or kadai, add prepared mixture and cook it for 5-6 minutes on low flames.
- Add Nestlé MILKMAID,and let it cook until mixture turns into semi soft dough.
- Finish it with some ghee, cardamom powder and mix it well.
- Transfer it to a bowl, cover it with the lid and keep it aside to cool down at room temperature.
- Take a modak mold, stuff with the prepared modak mixture and make a cavity in the middle.
- Stuff it with gulkand & nuts filling and seal the edges.
- Scrape out the excess mixture and press it well to get the perfect shape.
- Demold the modak and transfer it to a serving dish.
- Garnish it with fresh rose petals, saffron water and desiccated coconut.
For Gulkand & Nuts Filling
- In a bowl, add gulkand, almonds, cashew nuts and mix it well.
- Keep it aside for further use.
For Orange Mawa Modak
- In a nonstick pan or kadai, add ghee, orange crush, rice flour, water and cook it 4-5 minutes on low flames.
- Add Nestlé MILKMAID, and let it cook until mixture turns into semi soft dough.
- Finish it with some ghee, orange zest and mix it well.
- Transfer it to a bowl, cover it with the lid and keep it aside to cool down at room temperature.
- Take a modak mold, stuff with the prepared modak mixture and make a cavity in the middle.
- Stuff the modak with chocolate & pista filling and seal the edges.
- Scrape out the excess mixture and press it well to get the perfect shape.
- Demold the modak and transfer it to a serving dish.
- Garnish it with mint sprig, cashew nuts, desiccated coconut and orange zest.
For Chocolate & Pista Stuffing
- In a bowl, add white chocolate, pistachios and mix it well.
- Keep it aside for further use.
