Vrat ki Idli व्रत की इडली Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

For Vrat ki Idli

1 ½ cup Barnyard millet, soaked, समा चावल

2 tbsp Sago pearl, soaked, साबूदाना

Rock Salt to taste, सेंधा नमक स्वादअनुसार

1 tbsp Curd, beaten, दही

¼ cup Curd, beaten, दही

1 tbsp Barnyard millet, soaked, समा चावल

1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped, धनिया पत्ता

½ tsp Fruit salt, फ्रूट साॅल्ट

1 tsp Oil, तेल

 

For Peanut Mixture

1 tsp Peanut oil, मूंगफली का तेल

½ tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा

¼ cup Peanut, मूंगफली

2 Green chilli, broken into half, हरी मिर्च

½ inch Ginger, roughly slice, अदरक

Rock Salt to taste, सेंधा नमक स्वादअनुसार

few Coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ता

 

For Peanut Chutney

½ cup Curd, beaten, दही

4 tbsp Peanut Mixture, मूंगफली का मिश्रण

Process

  • Rinse and soak the rice in water for 2-3 hours. Afterwards drain the water.
  • Add soaked rice, curd, desiccated coconut, lemon juice, citric acid, salt and grind to a fine batter.
  • Grease the idli plate with oil.
  • Just before pouring the batter, add cumin seeds, fruit soda, baking powder and mix well.
  • Pour the batter in idli moulds and steam in the steamer for 7-8 mins.
  • For the chutney, add coconut, salt, green chilies and grind into a fine paste.
  • Heat a pan and add oil. When it is hot, add cumin seeds and curry leaves. When they splutter, pour it on the prepared chutney.
  • Remove the idlis from the moulds when they’re cooled down. Serve with coconut green chutney.
