Cooker Wale Dum Aloo Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

For Paste

2 medium size Onion, cut into half, प्याज

2 inch Ginger, slice, अदरक

2 Green chilli, cut into half, हरी मिर्च

1 tbsp Oil, तेल

few Coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ता

 

For Gravy

2 tbsp Ghee, घी

1 tbsp Oil, तेल

½ tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा

½ tsp Fennel seeds, सौंफ

Prepared Paste, तैयार किया हुआ पेस्ट

½ kg Baby potatoes, बेबी आलू

2 tbsp Coriander powder, धनिया पाउडर

½ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर

1 tsp Degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर

Little water, पानी

1 cup fresh Tomato puree, ताज़े टमाटर की प्यूरी

Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped, धनिया पत्ता

 

For Garnish

Coriander sprig, धनिया पत्ता

Tomato, wedges, टमाटर

Process

For Paste

  • In a bowl, add onion, ginger, green chilli, oil and coriander leaves.
  • Transfer it into a grinder jar and grind it into a smooth paste.
  • Keep it aside for further use.

 

For Gravy

  • In a cooker, add ghee, oil once it’s hot, add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and let it splutter well.
  • Add prepared paste and saute until the raw smell goes away and the paste thickens slightly.
  • Add baby potatoes and saute it well.
  • Add Coriander powder, turmeric powder, degi red chilli powder and saute it well.
  • Add a little water and saute until the masala become thick.
  • Add tomato puree, salt to taste and mix it well on medium flame.
  • Cover it with a lid and cook until the potatoes are cooked well.
  • Add coriander leaves and mix it well.
  • Garnish it with coriander sprig and serve hot.
