Ingredients

For Cooking Soya Chaap

2-3 heaped tbsp Ghee, घी

16 no. Soya Chaap, सोया चाप

¼ cup Ghee, घी

Water as required, पानी

Boiled Soya Chaap water, उबले हुए सोया चाप का पानी

 

For Fried Soya Chaap

Boiled soya chaap, cut into half, उबला हुआ सोया चाप

½ tsp Degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर

A pinch of Asafoetida, हींग

¼ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर

1 tsp Vinegar, सिरका

3 no. Green chillies (less spicy & finely chopped) हरी मिर्च

1 medium Onion, finely chopped, प्याज

⅓ cup fresh Coriander leaves, finely chopped, धनिया पत्ता

Marinated soya chaap, मैरीनेट किया हुआ सोया चाप

1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste, अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट

1 ¼ cup Gram flour, बेसन

Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

½ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर

1 tsp Degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर

Little water, पानी

 

For Garnish

Chaat masala, चाट मसाला

Nylon sev, नायलॉन सेव

Lemon wedge, नींबू की फांक

Cheese, grated, चीज़

A pinch of degi red chilli powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर

Coriander sprig, धनिया पत्ता

 

Other Ingredients

Oil for frying, तलने के लिए तेल

Process

For Cooking Soya Chaap

  • In a handi, add ghee, once it’s hot, add soya chaap and cook it for a minute.
  • Add ghee, water as required and mix it well.
  • Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 10-12 minutes until cooked well.
  • Transfer it to a tray and keep it aside for further use.

 

For Fried Soya Chaap

  • In a bowl, add boiled soya chaap, degi red chili powder, a pinch of asafoetida, turmeric powder, vinegar and mix it well.
  • Add green chillies, onion, fresh coriander leaves, marinated soya chaap, ginger garlic paste, gram flour, salt to taste, turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, little water and give it a good mix.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add soya chaap and fry them until golden in colour.
  • Transfer it to a serving dish, garnish it with, sprinkle some chaat masala, nylon sev, lemon wedge, grated cheese, a pinch of degi red chili powder and coriander sprig.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.
