Ingredients
For Onion Tomato Gravy
¾-1 cup Oil (तेल)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)
4-5 medium Onions – chopped (प्याज़)
2 tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
3 tsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste (अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट)
3-4 medium Pureed Tomatoes (प्यूरीड टाॅमेटो)
Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
1 medium Tomato – chopped (टमाटर)
½ tsp Vinegar (सिरका)
For Dal
½ cup Cooked Dal (पकी हुई दाल)
Water (पानी)
1 heaped tbsp Onion Tomato Gravy (प्याज़ टमाटर की ग्रेवी)
1 tbsp Coriander Leaves – chopped (धनिया पत्ता)
Process
For Onion Tomato Gravy
- In a kadai heat oil and add cumin seeds, chopped onions saute them until golden brown and cook completely.
- Now add degi red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste and keep on sauteing until fragrant.
- Then add the tomato puree, chopped tomato, salt and cook on medium heat until properly cooked.
- Finish by adding vinegar then cook it for a minute and switch off the flames.
- Cool it down and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
For Dal
- In a hot kadai add cooked dal, water, onion tomato gravy and mix it properly then boil it for 2 minutes.
- Now add coriander leaves, stir it once and continue boiling for a minute.
- Switch off the flames and dal is ready to serve.
