Onion Bhajiya Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

2-3 medium sized onions thinly sliced

1 ¼ cups gram flour (besan)

1-2 tsps rice flour

2 tsps whole coriander seed powder

1 tsp cumin powder

2 tsps green chillies, finely chopped

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp fennel seeds (optional)

1 tsp ajwain or carom seeds

Salt to taste

¼ cup fresh coriander, finely chopped

Oil for deep-frying

Process

  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Do not add water now as the onions will release their moisture. We need a thick dropping consistency. Add besan if needed.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai and drop in small portions of the onion mixture using your fingers. Deep-fry on medium heat till they turn golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
