
Ingredients
1 medium Onion, chopped , प्याज
2 medium Tomatoes, finely chopped , टमाटर
1 medium capsicum, finely chopped , शिमला मिर्च
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste , अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट
½ tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा
½ tsp Red chili powder, लाल मिर्च पाउडर
3-4 tsp Pav bhaji masala, add as per taste, पाव भाजी मसाला,
2 tbsp Butter, मक्खन
⅓ cup water, पानी
Salt to taste , नमक स्वादअनुसार
4 to 5 pav, sliced in halves, पाव
2 tbsp Butter for toasting the pav, मक्खन
Fresh coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ती
1 tsp fresh lime juice, नीबू का रस
Process
- In a shallow frying pan, melt butter add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add ginger garlic paste and Stir and saute till the raw aroma of ginger and garlic goes away.
- Add onions Stir and mix well. Saute the onions till they turn translucent.
- Add tomatoes. Stir and saute for 3 to 4 minutes on a low to medium flame.
- Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, pav bhaji masala.
- Stir and mix the masalas very well with the onion-tomato mixture.
- Now, add capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.
- Season with salt as required. Stir well. Add 1/3 cup water.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer on a low to medium flame. Adding water softens and cook the tomatoes very well.
- Melt some butter in a pan. Place the pav slices on the butter. Toast them lightly.
- Turn over and toast the other side. Now place the masala on the pav evenly with the spoon.
- Masala pav is ready to be served.
