Kele Ke Phool Ke Pakode | Vrat Special Kuttu Pakoda Recipe
Crispy Kele Ke Phool Ke Pakode made with kuttu and singhada, served with a refreshing vrat ki chutney. Perfect for fasting days!

Ingredients
For Boiling Banana flower & Water chestnuts
- 3 cups Water, पानी
- 1 whole Banana flower, केले का फूल
- ½ kg Water chestnuts, peeled, सिंगाडा
- 1 tbsp Sendha namak, सेंधा नमक
For Vrat Ki Chutney
- ½ cup Coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ता
- 6-7 no. Green chillies (less spicy broken into half) हरी मिर्च
- 1 inch Ginger (peeled & sliced) अदरक
- Roasted peanuts & cumin seeds, भुना हुआ मूंगफली और जीरा
- 1 tbsp Sendha namak, सेंधा नमक
- 1 tsp Sugar, चीनी
For Roasting
- ⅓ cup Peanuts, मूंगफली
- 2 tbsp Oil, तेल
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा
For Kele ke Phool Ke Pakode
- Cooked Banana flowers & water chestnuts, roughly chopped, पके हुए केले के फूल और सिंगाड़ा
- 2-3 tbsp fresh Coriander leaves, धनिया पत्ता
- 2-3 no. Green chillies, chopped, हरी मिर्च
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा
- 3 tbsp Curd, beaten, दही
- 1 tsp Sendha namak, सेंधा नमक
- 1 ¼ cup Buckwheat flour, कुट्टू का आटा
Other Ingredients
- Oil for frying, तलने के लिए तेल
For Garnish
- Lemon wedge, नींबू की फांक
- Coriander sprig, धनिया पत्ता
Process
For Boiling Banana Flower & Water Chestnuts
- In a pressure cooker, add water, cleaned banana flower, water chestnuts, sendha namak and mix well.
- Cover it with the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles or until it’s cooked.
- Turn off the flames and keep it aside for further use.
For Vrat Ki Chutney
- In a bowl, add coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, roasted peanuts & cumin seeds, sendha namak, sugar and mix well.
- Transfer it into the mixer grinder jar and grind it into the smooth fine paste.
- Transfer it into the serving bowl and serve with prepared kele ke phool ke pakode.
For Roasting
- In a pan, add peanuts and dry roast them for a while.
- Add oil, once it’s hot, add cumin seeds and roast them until fragrant.
- Turn off the flames and transfer it into the bowl and keep it aside for further use.
For Kele Ke Phool Ke Pakode
- In a bowl, add cooked bana flower & water chestnuts, fresh coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, curd, sendha namak, buckwheat flour and give it a good mix.
- Heat oil in a kadai, drop a small spoonful of pakoda mixture into the hot oil and cook until it’s cooked well.
- Remove it into the absorbent sheet.
- Transfer it into the serving dish and garnish it with lemon wedge and coriander sprig.
- Serve hot with prepared vrat ki chutney.
