Ingredients
2-3 tbsp Ghee (घी)
1 Bay leaf (तेजपत्ता)
2 Green Cardamoms (हरी इलायची)
2-3 Cloves (लॉन्ग)
6-8 Black Peppercorns (काली मिर्च के दाने)
1 kg Chicken – curry cut (मुर्गी)
Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste (अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट)
1 fresh Green Chilli – slit in half (हरी मिर्च)
3 tbsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)
2 tbsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
1 ½ cups Curd (दही)
1 tbsp Brown Onion Paste (भूरे प्याज़ का पेस्ट)
Water (पानी)
2 tbsp Coriander Leaves – chopped (धनिया पत्ता)
For Garnish
fresh Coriander Leaves (धनिया पत्ता)
Process
- In a kadai heat ghee then add bay leaf, cloves, green cardamom, black pepper cons and let them crackle.
- Then add the chicken and saute for a minute then add salt, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli and continue sauteing until the chicken is light brown.
- Now add coriander powder, degi red chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute them until fragrant.
- Then add the curd, brown onion paste and mix it properly then add water, stir it once and cover it with a lid and cook until then chicken is cooked completely.
- Remove the lid then add chopped coriander leaves and cover it again for a minute and switch off the flames.
- Serve hot in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
