Chicken Kori Ghassi Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

For Masala
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp peppercorns
  • ½ tsp fenugreek seeds/ methi seeds
  • 3-4 broke dry red chilies
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
 For Gravy
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil/ olive oil
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 500 gms chicken, curry cuts
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • handful of coriander leaves
  • ½ lime juice (optional)

Process

  • Heat oil in kadhai and add cumin seeds and peppercorns. Saute onions and ginger garlic paste until turns golden brown in color.
  • Now add chicken and add turmeric, salt and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add red chili powder, coriander powder and coconut milk. Cover and allow it to cook.
  • Add little water if required.
  • When chicken is cooked remove and serve immediately with roti or steamed rice.
