
Ingredients
For Masala
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- ½ tsp fenugreek seeds/ methi seeds
- 3-4 broke dry red chilies
- 1 cup onion, chopped
For Gravy
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil/ olive oil
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 3-4 cloves
- 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 500 gms chicken, curry cuts
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup coconut milk
- handful of coriander leaves
- ½ lime juice (optional)
Process
- Heat oil in kadhai and add cumin seeds and peppercorns. Saute onions and ginger garlic paste until turns golden brown in color.
- Now add chicken and add turmeric, salt and saute for 3-4 minutes.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder and coconut milk. Cover and allow it to cook.
- Add little water if required.
- When chicken is cooked remove and serve immediately with roti or steamed rice.
