Cabbage Foogath Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

½ Cabbage, thinly shredded (पत्ता गोभी)

½ Carrot, julienne  (गाजर)

1 tbsp Coconut oil  (नारियल तेल)

1 tsp Cumin seeds  (जीरा)

1 inch Ginger, finely chopped (अदरक)

2-3 Garlic cloves, chopped  (लहसुन)

2-3 Red Green chilli, slit (लाल हरी मिर्च)

5-10 Curry leaves  (कड़ी पत्ता)

1 medium size Onion, slice (प्याज)

½ tsp Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर)

Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)

2 tbsp fresh Coconut, grated (ताजा नारियल, कसा हुआ)

few Coriander leaves (धनिया के पत्ते)

 

For Garnish

Coriander sprig  (धनिया के पत्ते)

Process

  • Heat coconut oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, red green chilli, curry leaves saute it well.
  • Add onion, salt to taste, turmeric powder and saute it well.
  • Add cabbage, carrot, fresh coconut and mix everything well.
  • Cover it with the lid and cook for 5-10 minutes on medium flame.
  • Finally, add coriander leaves and toss well.
  • Garnish it with coriander sprig and seve hot.
