Bread Halwa Recipe - Ranveer Brar

Ingredients

For Fried Bread

2 heaped tbsp Ghee (घी)

12-15 slices Bread – without crust & cubes (ब्रेड स्लाइस)

For Fried Cashew Nuts Paste

1 tbsp Ghee (घी)

6-8 Cashew Nuts (काजू)

For Halwa

½ tbsp Chironji (चिरौंजी)

10-12 Raisins (किशमिश)

500 ml Milk (दूध)

¼ cup Condensed Milk (कंडेंस मिल्क)

fried Bread (तला हुआ ब्रेड)

fried Cashew Nuts Paste (तला हुए काजू का पेस्ट)

¼ tsp Cardamom Powder (इलायची पाउडर)

For Garnish

Chironji (चिरौंजी)

Raisins (किशमिश)

Fried Cashew Nuts (तला हुआ काजू)

Silver Vark (चांदी की‌ वर्क)

Dry Rose Petals (सूखे गुलाब की पंखुड़ियां)

Mint Leaves (पुदीने के पत्ते)

Process

For Fried Bread

  • Heat ghee in a kadai and fry the bread cubes until brown and crispy.
  • Remove and keep aside for further use.

For Fried Cashew Nuts Paste

  • In the same kadai heat ghee and fry the cashew nuts until golden.
  • Remove and let them cool down, then add it to a grinder jar and grind it into a fine paste. Keep aside for further use.

For Halwa

  • In the same kadai heat ghee and fry the chironji, raisins and then add milk.
  • Bring the milk to a boil and add condensed milk, mix it properly and let it boil for 4-5 minutes.
  • Now add the fried bread, fried cashew nuts paste and mix everything properly.
  • Continue cooking until it leaves ghee from the sides, now switch off the flames and add cardamom powder mix it properly
  • Serve warm and garnish with chironji, raisins, fried cashew nuts, silver warq, dry rose petals, mint leaves.
