Ingredients
For Rasam Powder
2 tbsp Oil, तेल
1 heaped tbsp Chana dal, चना दाल
4-5 no. dry Kashmiri red chillies, सूखी कश्मीरी लाल मिर्च
2-3 sprig Curry leaves, roughly torn, कड़ी पत्ते
1 heaped tbsp Urad dal, उड़द दाल
3 tbsp Coriander seeds, धनिये के बीज
2 tsp Cumin seeds, जीरा
¼ tsp Fenugreek seeds, मेथी दाना
1 tbsp Black peppercorns, काली मिर्च के दाने
1 heaped tsp Degi red chili powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
¼ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
Process
For Rasam Powder
- In a pan, add oil, once it’s hot, add chana dal, dry kashmiri red chillies, curry leaves, urad dal and toss it for a minute.
- Add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, black peppercorns and toss it for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add degi red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste and mix it well.
- Transfer it to a mixer grinder jar and grind it into fine powder.
- Keep it an air tight container for further use.
