Crispy Onion Rings करारे प्याज के रिंग लच्छे Onion Pakoda Tadka Dip bonus
Give me good old Pyaaz ke Pakode any day!! But here's to the Onion Rings fans :)
Ingredients
7-8 no. large Onions, roundels, प्याज
For fresh Bread crumbs
9-10 no. Bread slice, trim the edges, ब्रेड स्लाइस
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
½ tbsp Semolina, सूजी
For Tadka Ketchup Dip
2 tsp Oil, तेल
¼ tsp small Mustard seeds, छोटी राई
1 sprig Curry leaves, कड़ी पत्ता
1 no. Green chili, finely chopped, हरी मिर्च
⅓ cup Tomato ketchup, टोमॅटो केचप
2-3 tbsp Water, पानी
For Italian Chilli Garlic dip
2-3 no. Garlic cloves, roughly chopped, लहसुन
½ cup Mayonnaise, मेयोनेज़
1 tsp dry Oregano, ओरिगैनो
1 tsp Chili flakes, चिली फ्लेक्स
For Batter
3 heaped tbsp Gram flour, बेसन
3 heaped tbsp Refined flour, मैदा
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
¼ tsp Turmeric powder, हल्दी पाउडर
½ tsp Degi red chili powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
2 heaped tbsp Curd, beaten, दही
½ tbsp Ginger Garlic paste, अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट
Water as required, पानी
For Dry Mixture
2 heaped tbsp Cornstarch, कॉर्नस्टार्च
2 heaped tbsp Gram flour, बेसन
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
1 tsp Degi red chili powder, देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
½ tsp Black pepper powder, काली मिर्च पाउडर
Other Ingredients
Oil for frying, तलने के लिए तेल
Process
For fresh Bread crumbs
- Take fresh bread slices, trim the edges, transfer it to a mixer grinder jar and grind it until crumbly.
- In a pan, add fresh bread crumbs, salt to taste and toss it on low flames until golden in color.
- Add semolina and give it a good mix..
For Tadka Ketchup Dip
- In a pan, add oil, once it’s hot, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and let it splutter.
- Add green chillies, ketchup, water and simmer it for a minute.
- Transfer it to a bowl and keep it aside for further use.
For Italian Chilli Garlic dip
- In a bowl, add mayonnaise, garlic, dry oregano, chili flakes and give it a good mix.
- Keep it aside for further use.
For Batter
- In a bowl, add gram flour, refined flour, salt to taste, turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, curd, ginger garlic paste, water and make a smooth batter.
- Keep it aside for further use.
For Dry Mixture
- In a bowl, add gram flour, refined flour and mix it well.
- Add salt to taste, degi red chili powder, black pepper powder and give it a good mix.
For Onion Rings
- Cut onions into roundels and separate the layers.
- Coat the onion rings in a dry mixture, dip it into batter and coat it well evenly.
- Transfer it to bread crumbs and crumb coat it well. Transfer it to a plate and keep it aside for further use.
- Heat oil in a kadhai, add onion rings, fry it until crispy and golden brown.
- Transfer it to a serving dish and serve hot with prepared dips.
