Wonton Soup

Ingredients

For Wonton

1 tbsp oil/ तेल

1 tsp green chillies, chopped/ हरी मिर्च

1 tsp garlic, chopped/ लहसुन

¼ cup cabbage, finely chopped/ गोबी

¼ cup french beans, finely chopped/ फ्रेंच बीन्स

¼ cup carrots, finely chopped/ गाजर

½ cup spring onion with white & green part, chopped/ प्याज पत्ता

1 tbsp light soy sauce/सोया सॉस

1 tsp sugar/ चीनी

Salt to taste/ नमक स्वादअनुसार

10-12 wonton sheets/वॉनटन शीट

 

For Soup

1 tbsp oil / तेल

1 tbsp ginger, sliced / अदरक

1 tsp fresh red chilli, sliced / ताजा लाल मिर्च

3-4 shredded spinach / पालक

¼ cups carrots, julienne / गाजर

¼ cups french beans, julienne / फ्रेंच बीन्स

5 cup clear vegetable stock /

1 tbsp dark soy sauce / डार्क सोया सॉस

2 tbsp red chilli sauce /  लाल मिर्च सॉस

1 tsp sugar /  चीनी

Salt as per taste / स्वादानुसार नमक

Black pepper as per taste / स्वादानुसार काली मिर्च

1 tsp lime juice (optional) / नींबू का रस

 

Garnish

1 tbsp finely chopped spring onion

Process

  • Heat oil in a non stick pan, add garlic, ginger, green chili and saute on a medium flame for a minute. Add spring onion and saute well
  • Add in all the vegetables, soy sauce, sugar and salt and saute for a while. Remove from the flame and keep aside for cooling.
  • Place a little stuffing in the centre of single wonton sheet apply water along the edges and press well. Make the remaining wontons and cover with damp muslin cloth (to prevent from dryness) and keep aside.
  • Take a wok or deep non-stick pan heat oil and add ginger, green chilli and saute for a minute to release aroma.
  • Add in all the vegetables and stir for a minute on high flame.
  • Add vegetable stock, dark soy sauce, red chilli sauce, sugar and salt, mix well.
  • Turn the flame to high, put the prepared wontons gradually into the boiling soup, cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes. Finish with lime juice.
  • Serve immediately & garnish with spring onion.
