
Ingredients
For Dough
3 medium Potatoes, boiled & mashed , आलू
1-2 tbsp Vrat Ka Atta , व्रत का आटा
Sendha namak to taste , सेंधा नमक स्वादानुसार
For Filling
8-10 Cashew nuts, chopped , काजू
1 heaped tbsp Peanut, मूंगफली
⅓ cup Coconut, grated , नारियल
Sendha namak to taste , सेंधा नमक स्वादानुसार
½ tsp Sugar , चीनी
1-2 fresh Green chillies, chopped , हरी मिर्च
Other Ingredients
½ cup Desiccated coconut, for coating , नारियल बुरादा
Ghee for frying , तलने के लिए घी
(Note :- Sama chawal flour, sabudana flour, kuttu flour or mix of this can be used as Vrat Ka Atta)
Process
For Dough
- In a bowl add mashed potatoes, vrat ka atta, sendha namak and knead it properly until everything comes together into a smooth dough like ball.
- Keep aside for further use.
For Filling
- In a bowl add chopped cashew nuts, peanuts, grated coconut, sendha namak, sugar, green chillies and mix everything properly, keep aside for further use.
For Assembling Vrat Ka Pattice
- Take a portion of the potato dough and spread in your hands and then add a heaped spoonful of the filling in the center and close it up.
- Now give it a proper tikki shape then roll in the desiccated coconut properly, then repeat this with the rest of the dough.
- To fry the pattice, heat ghee in a pan and place the prepared pattice and fry them until golden brown and crispy from both sides on medium heat.
- Remove and serve with some curd or vrat ki chutney.
