Tofu Satay

Prep: 10 minutes | Cook: 5 minutes | Servings: 2

Ingredients

1 tbsp Oil

1 tbsp Soya sauce

1 tbsp Brown Sugar

1 tsp Garlic

1 tsp Vinegar

500 gm Tofu, cut lengthwise

1 tsp Red Chilli powder

1 tbsp Coconut Milk

2 tbsp Rice Flour

1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Satay sticks

For the Salad

1 cup Cucumber, roundels

¼ cup Peanuts

1 tsp Chilli flakes

1 tsp Lemon juice

1 tsp Brown Sugar

1 tsp Sesame seeds

Salt to taste

Coriander 

Method

  • In a bowl, add soya sauce, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, tofu, red chilli, coconut milk and rice flour, rub tofu in the marination.
  • Pin tofu in the satay sticks and coat it with sesame seeds.
  • Now in pan brush oil, place the satay tofu and cook it for 5 minutes each side.
  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, add cucumber, peanuts, chilli flakes, brown sugar, lemon juice, sesame seeds and salt, toss everything well.
  • Place tofu satay in a serving bowl, garnish the salad with coriander.
  • Serve hot.
