Paneer Shawarma

Ingredients

250 gm Paneer, पनीर

Marinade

1 large Garlic Clove, minced, लहसुन

1 tbsp Coriander, crushed, साबुत धनिया

½ tbsp Cumin, crushed, जीरा

1 tbsp Cardamom, crushed, इलायची

1 tsp Red Chili Powder, लाल मिर्च पाउडर

2 tsp Salt To Taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

1 tsp Black Pepper Powder, काली मिर्च पाउडर

2 tbsp Lemon Juice, नींबू का रस

2 tbsp Olive Oil, जैतून के तेल

 

To Serve

4 Rotis wholewheat, रोटी

¼ cups Mayonnaise, मेयोनेज़

2 tbsp Tahini Paste, ताहिनी पेस्ट

Sliced Lettuce (cos or iceberg),

French Fries, फ्रेंच फ्राइज

Pickled veggies, juliennes (carrots, beetroot and cucumber), पिकलेड़ वेजिटेबल ,(गाजर  चुकंदर

खीरा)

Process

  • In a mixing bowl, add garlic, coriander crushed, cumin crushed, cardamom crushed, red chilli powder, salt to taste, black pepper, lemon juice, olive oil mix well.
  • Add paneer and use your hands to make sure each piece is coated. Marinate and keep it aside.
  • Heat griller on medium high. Place paneer on the grill and cook from both the side till the grill mark appears on both the sides. Remove paneer from the grill and cover loosely with foil. Set aside to rest for 5 minutes.

 

To Serve

  • Sliced paneer and pile into platter alongside flatbreads, Salad and mayonnaise, tahini paste.
  • To make a wrap, get a piece of flatbread and smear with mayonnaise, tahini paste nicely spread all over the bread. Top with a bit of lettuce, French fries and pickled veggies.
