Oats Uttapam

For Oats Powder

1 cup Rolled Oats (रोल्ड ओट्स)

1 heaped tbsp Rava (रवा)

1 tsp Ghee (घी)


For Oats Uttapam

Prepared Oats Powder (तैयार किया हुआ ओट्स पाउडर)

Water (पानी)

Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)

¾ cup Curd (दही)

1 tbsp Oil (तेल)

½ tsp Baking Soda (बेकिंग सोडा)


For Uttapam Topping

½ tsp Rolled Oats (रोल्ड ओट्स)

1 medium Onion – chopped (प्याज़)

1 medium Tomato – chopped (टमाटर)

2 fresh Green Chillies – chopped (हरी मिर्च)

2 tbsp Coriander Leaves – chopped (धनिया पत्ता)

6-8 Curry Leaves (कड़ी पत्ता)



For Oats Powder

  • In a hot pan add oats and roast them on medium heat for a minute then add the rava, ghee and continue roasting until fragrant on medium heat.
  • Remove and keep aside to cool down, once cooled, grind it into powder. Keep aside for further use.


For Uttapam Topping

  • In a bowl add chopped onion, tomato, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves and mix it properly then keep aside for further use.


For Oats Uttapam

  • In a bowl take the prepared oats powder, water, curd, salt and mix it properly and keep aside for 10-15 minutes.
  • After resting, add a mixture of oil & baking soda in the oats mixture and mix it properly.
  • Heat a non-stick pan then add a big spoonful of the batter and spread it little then let it cook from the side.
  • Now add the rolled oats and the topping mixture on it then flip it and let it cook completely.
  • Remove and serve hot with chutney.
