Meatballs Spaghetti

Ingredients 

For Meat Balls:

300 gms Lamb, minced

3 cloves Garlic,minced

1 Whole Egg

½ tsp Oregano dried

½ tsp Paprika powder

1 white bread, crust removed & soaked in milk

 Salt to taste

Oil for shallow frying

For Sauce

2 tbsp Olive Oil

1 tbsp Butter

4 Garlic cloves, minced

1 Large Onion. finely chopped

5 Tomatoes peeled and crushed fine

2 small Bay leaves

30 ml Red Wine

Salt to taste

Spaghetti Pasta

⅓ cup Parmesan Cheese

Basil Leaves, hand torn

Process

  • In a mixing bowl, add lamb, garlic, egg, oregano, paprika powder, soaked bread and salt. Combine everything well to make a dough consistency.
  • Keep in the refrigerator to for 1 hour.
  • In a heavy bottom pan, add olive oil, butter, garlic and onions. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, bay leaves and cook for 6-7 minutes..
  • Add red wine and salt, mix well.
  • In another pan, boil spaghetti pasta in salted water till al dante.
  • In a pan, add oil for shallow frying the meatballs. Cook the meat balls completely.
  • Mix spaghetti and meatballs in the sauce and mix well.
  • Add parmesan cheese and give it a last stir.
  • Garnish with basil leaves.
