Kulath Ki Dal (Horse Gram)

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 inch ginger, cut into strips

2-3 green chilies, slit

1 cup kulith/kulthi/kulath dal, boiled (Horse Gram)

1 tbsp pomegranate seeds powder (dissolved in water)


Coriander leaves and onion rings



  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ginger and green chilies.
  2. When they release aroma, add the boiled kulith dal. Cover-cook for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Now add salt and pomegranate seeds powder. Cover and cook again until it turns soft.
  4. Remove and serve hot with rice or roti.
