Kashmiri Mutton Korma

Ingredients

¼ cup oil

½ cup onion paste

½ kg mutton

2 tbsp curd, whisked

Salt

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp garlic, roughly chopped

1 tsp ginger, roughly chopped

2-3 cloves

2 cardamom pods

1-2 cinnamon sticks

Coriander, chopped for garnish

Method:

  • Heat oil in a deep pan, add onion paste, and cook for 5-10 minutes or until brown.
  • Now add mutton, whisked curd, salt, coriander powder and red chilli powder to this. Mix well.
  • Let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add in chopped ginger and garlic, cloves, cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks.
  • Combine everything together.
  • Add water and cover it with a lid and slow cook on medium flame for 40- 60 minutes.
  • Once the meat is tender and completely cooked garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
