Jammu Ki Kulith Ki Dal (Horse Gram)

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 inch ginger, cut into strips

2-3 green chilies, slit

1 cup kulith dal, boiled (Horse Gram)

1 tbsp pomegranate seeds powder (dissolved in water)

Garnish with coriander leaves and onion rings


  • Add oil in sauce pan and saut√© ginger, green chilies.
  • When they release aroma, add boiled kulith dal. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes.
  • Now add salt and pomegranate seeds powder. Again cover and cook until it turns soft.
  • Remove and serve hot with rice or roti.
