French Beans Ki Sabzi Recipe - Ranveer Brar


2 tbsp Oil (तेल)

1 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)

1 inch Ginger – chopped (अदरक)

3 fresh Green Chillies – chopped (हरी मिर्च)

3-4 cloves Garlic – chopped (लहसुन)

1 medium Onion – sliced (प्याज़)

½ tsp Asafoetida (हींग)

½ tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर)

1 tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)

1 tsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)

1 cup soaked Chana Dal (भीगी हुई चना दाल)

Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)

2 cups French Beans – cut in 1 inch pieces (फ्रेंच बींस)

1 medium Tomato – chopped (टमाटर)

few Coriander Leaves – roughly torn (धनिया पत्ता)


  • In a kadai heat oil then add cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies, garlic saute a few seconds.
  • Now add onion saute until translucent then add asafoetida, turmeric powder, degi red chilli powder, coriander powder and saute until fragrant.
  • Then add soaked chana dal, salt, some water and mix it once then cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Now add french beans and mix everything properly then cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the lid then add tomatoes and saute for a minute, finish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
