Fish Koliwada

500gms Fish Fillets, cubes /  मछली


For marinade

1 Lemon, juiced/ नींबू, रस

2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste/ अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट

1 tsp Red Chili Powder/ लाल मिर्च पाउडर

½ tsp Turmeric/ हल्दी

1 tsp Garam Masala/ गरम मसाला

½ tsp Chaat Masala/ चाट मसाला

Salt, to taste/ नमक स्वादअनुसार

1 tsp Ajwain/ अजवाईन

Other Ingredients

2 tbsp Yoghurt/ दही

3 tbsp Gram Flour/ बेसन


Oil, for frying/ तेल



  • Cut the fish into 1 -inch cubes.
  • Combine all the ingredients of marinade in a bowl and mix well.
  • Now apply the prepared marinade on the fish and keep aside for 30mins.
  • After marinating add yoghurt and gram flour and mix well.
  • Heat oil for deep frying. Deep fry the fish pieces in hot oil till nice and crisp.
  • Remove on absorbent paper and drain off the excess oil.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney.
