Doodhi fritters

Ingredients

2oo gm Doodhi, grated, Squeezee, दुधी

2 Green Chilli, chopped, हरी मिर्च

½ tsp Ginger Garlic paste, अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट

2 Green Chilli, chopped, हरी मिर्च

Salt to Apply on, नमक

¼ tsp Asafoetida, हींग

¼ tsp Turmeric Powder, हल्दी पाउडर

2 tbsp Moong Dal, Soaked, मूंग दाल

¼ cup Gram Flour, बेसन

4 tbsp Curd, Thick, दही

Salt to Taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार

2 tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves, chopped, धनिया

1 tsp Baking Soda, बेकिंग सोडा

1 tbsp Oil, तेल

Oil for Frying, तेल

Process

  • Rinse and peel the lauki (bottle gourd). Grate it.
  • Squeeze the grated lauki and collect the juice in a bowl or mug.
  • In a mixing bowl, add grated doodhi, asafoetida, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, green chilli, fresh coriander leaves, moong dal and mix well.
  • Add thick curd, gram flour, soda, oil and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, fry a spoonful of doodhi fritters mixture in the oil, till they are golden brown on all sides.
  • Drain the fried fritters on kitchen towel so that the extra oil is absorbed.
