Cornflakes Chivda

2 cups corn flakes

Salt to taste

1 tbsp sugar


Seasoning mix 

Salt to taste

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp Red chilli powder

½ tsp dried mango powder

For Tempering

2 tbsp oil

2 green chilli, cut into pieces

2 dry red chilli, cut into pieces

3-4 sprigs Curry leaves

⅓ cup cashew nuts

⅓ cup peanuts

⅓ cup coconut flakes

⅓ cup raisins

⅓ cup dried cranberries


Final Seasoning

½ tsp dried mango powder

½ tbsp Sugar

¼ tsp black pepper crushed



  • In a kadai dry toast the corn flakes for a minute and then add salt and sugar let it milt and coat the corn flakes.
  • Now in another bowl add salt, sugar, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and mix it properly, add it to the corn flakes and keep on tossing it until well coated. Remove in a bowl and keep aside.
  • In same kadai add oil heat it and add green chilli, dried red chilli, curry leaves, saute it and add  cashew nuts, peanuts, coconut flakes, raisins, dried cranberries and saute for some time.
  • Now add the corn flakes mixture in it and mix well.
  • Do a final seasoning with dried mango powder, Sugar, black pepper and store it in an airtight container.
