Corn Chaat

For Cooking Corn on cob

3 Corn on cob, break in half , भुट्टा

3 dry Red chillies , सूखी लाल मिर्च

1 inch Ginger , अदरक

4-5 Coriander roots , धनिए की जड़

1 inch Cinnamon stick , दालचीनी

1 Black Cardamom , बड़ी इलायची

½ tsp Black peppercorns , काली मिर्च

½ tsp Coriander seeds , धनिए के बीज

Salt to taste , नमक स्वादानुसार

¼ tsp Sugar , शक्कर

1 heaped tbsp Butter , मक्खन

 

Process

  • In a cooker add water, dry red chillies, ginger, coriander roots, cinnamon stick, black cardamom, black pepper cons, coriander seeds, salt to taste, sugar, butter and corn on cob and close the lid and give it 1-2 whistles and let it cool.
  • Remove it and keep aside for future use.

 

 

 

South Indian Corn Chaat

Preparation time 10 minutes

Cooking time 10-12 minutes

Serving 2

 

Ingredients

 

For Gun Powder

1 tsp Oil , तेल

½ tsp Cumin seeds , जीरा

1 tsp Coriander seeds , धनिए के बीज

3-4 dry Red chillies , सूखी लाल मिर्च

1 tbsp Chana dal , चना दाल

1 tbsp Urad dal , उड़द दाल

1 sprig Curry leaves , कड़ी पत्ता

Salt to taste , नमक स्वादानुसार

 

For South Indian Corn Chaat

1 Corn on cob , भुट्टा

¼ cup Coconut, chopped , नारियल

1 sprig Curry leaves, chopped , कड़ी पत्ता

2-3 tbsp Remaining water from the corn , भुट्टे का बचा हुआ पानी

1 heaped tsp Butter , मक्खन

1 tsp Gun powder , गन पाउडर

 

Process

For Gun Powder

  • In a pan add oil, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, dry red chillies, chana dal, urad dal and roast until light golden brown now add curry leaves, salt mix it properly.
  • Let it cool and add it in the blender jar and blend into a powder. Keep aside for further use

 

For South Indian Corn Chaat

  • Remove the corn kernels from the cob and keep aside for further use.
  • In a pan add the corn kernels, coconut, curry leaves, some remaining water from the corn, butter, gun powder and toss it properly until properly hot. Serve warm.

 

 

Italian Corn Chaat

Preparation time 5 minutes

Cooking time 5-6 minutes

Serving 2

 

Ingredients

2-3 tbsp Remaining water from the corn , भुट्टे का बचा हुआ पानी

1 Corn on cob , भुट्टा

1 heaped tbsp Butter , मक्खन

½ tsp Chilli flakes , चिल्ली फ्लेक्स

½ tsp dried Oregano , सूखा ओरिगैनो

1 sprig fresh Oregano , ताजा ओरिगैनो

½ tsp freshly ground Black pepper , काली मिर्च

¼ cup Cheese, grated , चीज

 

Process

 

  • Remove the corn kernels from the cob and keep aside for further use.
  • In a hot pan add remaining water from the corn, corn kernels, butter, chilli flakes, dried oregano, fresh oregano and freshly ground black pepper, mix everything properly.
  • Serve hot and garnish with some grated cheese.

 

 

Corn Chaat

½ medium Onion, chopped , प्याज

1 medium Tomato, deseeded, chopped , टमाटर

1-2 Green chillies , chopped हरी मिर्च

2 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped , धनिया पत्ता

¼ tsp Black salt , काला नमक

½ tsp Chaat masala , चाट मसाला

½ tsp Olive oil or Salad oil , जैतून का तेल

 

Process

 

  • Remove the corn kernels from the cob and keep aside for further use.

In a bowl add corn kernels, onion, tomato, green chillies, coriander leaves, black salt, chaat masala, olive oil or salad oil and mix everything properly and garnish with coriander leaves
