Beetroot Sheera

5 tbsp Ghee
5 grated large beets, grated
1 litre milk
80 gms sugar
Pinch of salt
½ tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp almonds, chopped
2 tbsp pistachios, chopped
Process
- Heat ghee in a casserole, add the beetroot and roast for 5-6 minutes.
- Add milk, stir well.
- Cover and cook on simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove the lid & start stirring till it dries up.
- Add sugar and mix well till it melts, keep stirring to avoid any lumps from forming.
- Add salt and cardamom powder. Mix well.
- Garnish with almonds and pistachios.
- Serve hot.
