Tossed Salad With Crisp Idli


Ingredients:

For Idli Mixture :
• 4 idli
• Oil for frying
• 2 tsp red chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 2 ½ tbsp curd

For Salad Dressing :
• 1 tbsp oregano
• 1 tbsp soya sauce
• 1 - 2 tbsp dill leaves
• 1 - 2 tbsp mint leaves
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• Crushed black pepper to taste
• Salt to taste
• 5 - 6 lettuce leaves
• 3 - 4 chopped tomato wedges
• ½ cup chopped red and yellow bell pepper wedges
• 2 - 3 onion rings
• 4 - 5 mint leaves
• 4 - 5 black olives
• 4 - 5 cherry tomato

For Garnishing :
• Feta cheese as required
• 1 cucumber
• Dill leaves as required
• Salt to taste
• ½ tsp olive oil

Method:
• Chop idli into wedges and deep fry them. Once fried remove on a tissue paper.
• In a bowl add fried idli, red chili powder, salt, curd and crush this mixture lightly using the hands.
• To prepare salad dressing; chop dill leaves and mint leaves. Now in a bowl add oregano, soya sauce, chopped dill
• leaves, chopped mint leaves, olive oil, crushed black pepper, salt and mix well.
• Now mix lettuce leaves, chopped tomato wedges, chopped red and yellow bell pepper juliennes, onion rings, mint
• leaves, black olives and cherry tomato.
• Keep a ring mould in the centre of the plate and fill idli mixture in it. Arrange the prepared salad on it and add feta • cheese.
• Chop cucumber into juliennes. With his mix dill leaves, salt and olive oil. Arrange this prepared salad on the plate.
