Not Without Them

  • Chef Arun Tyagi

The most understated chef of the country . My friend, philosopher, guide. Calm , quaint and objective yet as gutsy and as passionate as a chef can be. A lot of times I just close my eyes and imagine what Chef Tyagi would have done in that situation before taking a decision. I’d have achieved a lot if I were to even reach half his envisioning capability and objectivity .
    Thank you Chef

  • Chef Munir Ahmed

Master of kebabs from his times at his cart to his time at the Taj. He never compromised on quality. To the extent of being called outright rude .Has left an everlasting impression. I am proud to call myself his Shagird.
    God bless his soul

  • Chef Parmeswaran Narayanan

Chef Parry was handling the renovations at Machan and Ricks at the Taj Mahal New Delhi when I joined that hotel. There were two things about him that never changed in my tenure – his smile and his speed. Todays Machan and Ricks are a testimony to his “take it in your stride with a smile approach”. He is no longer with us but his smile lives through me and all the chefs that he left a mark upon

  • Chef Nita Nagaraj

A True “Tigress of the Kitchen” Chef Nita is my Godmother in the industry. She is as tough as a they come as loud as they used to. Her bold decision making and mentoring is what I have always been fascinated with. Oh and the “What you see is what you get “in me comes from her.

  • Chef Bernhard Koenig

A true task master and the most disciplined chef I have worked with, after working with him at the Taj Fort Aguada Goa I realized that he had left me with his gift of kitchen organizing (besides the table tennis backhand smash of course )

  • Chef Sumit Kumar

Chef Sumit is a true Disciple of taste . His commitment towards continuous learning is infectious . Every time I am stuck in the office looking up from underneath the pile of mails and paperwork. That infectious commitment to being hands on inspires me to start cooking wholesome tasty food again.

  • Chef Dharamvir Singh

Chef Dharamvir Singh was humble and shy to send me a picture. Yet I have to mention you chef because you have toughened me up like no other and taught me the value of being tough and human at the same time .
