Khuzi Panyaram


Ingredients:

For Masala:
• Oil : 1 tbsp
• Curry Leaves : 2 - 4 nos.
• Split Black Gram : 2 tbsp
• Chopped Dry Red Chilli : 2 tbsp
• Grated Coconut : Ό cup
• Chopped Onion : 2 tbsp
• Salt: to taste
• Red Chilli Powder : 1 tsp

For Panyaram :
• Dosa Batter : 2 cups
• Oil : 1 tbsp

To Serve:
• Coconut Chutney : as required
• Red Chilli Powder : a pinch

For garnish:
• Fried Red Chilli : as required
• Fried Curry Leaves : as required

Procedure:
• To prepare masala in a pan heat oil; add curry leaves, chopped dry red chilli, grated coconut, chopped onion, salt, red chilli powder and mix well.
• In a bowl mix the dosa batter and the prepared masala together.
• Add oil to the paniyaram maker and add the prepared batter to it. Cover it and let it cook for 5-7 minutes and then remove it once cooked from both the sides.
• In a jar serve the coconut chutney and place it on a plate. Arrange the paniyarams on the plate and sprinkle red chilli powder.
• Garnish with fried red chilli and fried curry leaves.
