Tofu Steak


Ingredients:

• Tofu 1 cup
• Green peas, cooked 3 tbsp
• Carrots, cooked, small cubes 3 tbsp
• Green beans, cooked, small cubes 3 tbsp
• Chopped onion 3 tbsp
• Red chili powder ½ tsp
• Chopped coriander 1 tbsp

For coating steak :
• Breadcrumbs 1 cup
• Madras Curry powder 1 tsp
• Fried curry leaves, crushed 5 to 6
• Grated ginger 1 tsp

Curry cream sauce :
• Onion 1 no
• Ginger 1 tsp
• Curry powder 1 tsp
• Coconut milk 100 ml
• Heavy cream 20 ml
• Chopped coriander handful
• Spinach 1 bunch
• Garlic, chopped 1 clove
• Lime juice ½ tsp
• Salt and pepper To taste

Procedure:
• In pan add oil sautι all vegetables and keep aside to cool down.
• Make curry sauce. Heavy bottom pan add oil, sautι onion, ginger now slowly add coconut milk and heavy cream. Add curry powder. Simmer gently till thickened. Finish with coriander. Blend this mixture in blender until get smooth sauce.
• Mean while in breadcrumbs add curry powder, fried curry leaves and grated ginger.
• Make steak of the sautιed vegetable and tofu and coat well with breadcrumbs.
• Shallow fry he steak in flat non- stick pan from both sided.
• Sautιed spinach in another pan with little oil and garlic.
• In service place sautιed spinach on top place steak and pour curry
