Mathri Cookies


• 250 gms refined flour
• 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
• Salt to taste
• Crushed black pepper to taste
• ½ tsp carom seed powder
• ½ tsp fennel powder
• 125 gms butter
• 1 tsp baking powder

To serve :
• Jal Jeera drink as required

• In a bowl add refined flour, roasted cumin seeds, salt, crushed black pepper, carom seed powder, fennel powder, butter, baking powder and water and knead to make dough.
• Take small portions of the dough and place them on a baking dish.
• Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius and bake the cookies for 15-17 mins at 180 degree Celsius. Once baked, remove from the oven.
• Place shot glasses filled with jal jeera drink on a plate and keep the mathri cookies on top of the glasses and serve.
